Workplace Drug Testing
Why Test?
Many companies have Drug and Alcohol testing programmes.
Traditionally, these companies have company policies which describe the testing programmes and the possible consequences to an employee if drugs or alcohol are detected.
For a company which is considering developing a policy, or implementing a test regime based on a historical policy, there is usually a series of simple but difficult questions to consider.
How Agriyork 400 Can Help
With over 35 years of experience in workplace drug and alcohol testing, we can support you at every stage — from reviewing your existing policy for legal compliance, to supplying the right testing kits and training your staff to use them correctly.
Which Test Type is Right for You?
We supply both urine and oral fluid point of collection tests, and the right choice depends entirely on what you are trying to achieve.
Oral fluid testing is particularly well suited to most workplace applications. It is straightforward to administer, observed throughout so difficult to falsify, and because of its short detection window it indicates recent drug use - giving you a clearer picture of whether someone may be impaired at the time of testing. No private facilities are required, making it practical in almost any workplace environment.
Urine testing has a longer detection window, meaning it can indicate drug use over a period of days or even weeks rather than just recent use. It remains the specified matrix for certain mandated testing programmes such as transport, aviation and prison sectors. Where your industry or policy requires urine testing, we can supply the right kits for that too.
We will always help you choose the most appropriate testing method for your specific situation — there is no one-size-fits-all answer.
